Cyient, a global provider of intelligent engineering solutions, has signed a strategic contract to help GreenH design and construct its green hydrogen production and distribution facility at Langstranda in Bodø, Norway. This project is a joint venture between Luxcara and GreenH.
The Bodø project, which aims to supply green hydrogen to the heavy transportation and maritime sectors, is a significant step towards achieving Norway’s goals for renewable energy. Under a long-term contract with Torghatten Nord AS, the hydrogen facility will provide green hydrogen fuel to power the Vestfjorden ferries, a key initiative in Norway’s transition to green energy for the maritime industry. This collaboration represents an important step in providing a creative and sustainable energy solution, as civil construction got underway in the fall of 2024.
Cyient’s job description includes providing comprehensive owner’s engineering and detailed plant engineering services. Cyient plans to leverage its extensive expertise in green and renewable energy engineering, including green hydrogen, to enhance project delivery and efficiency during this historic project.
GreenH, a Norwegian company, develops infrastructure for green hydrogen production and distribution, while Luxcara, an independent asset manager based in Hamburg, promotes renewable energy projects in Europe.
