With plans to set up integrated solar and battery manufacturing facilities, Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) has announced its entry into the renewable energy equipment manufacturing industry.
The company has appointed three senior executives to strengthen its battery and component manufacturing portfolio.

To lead the new venture, Reliance Infrastructure has appointed three senior executives who will strengthen the company’s battery and component manufacturing portfolio
Mr. Ivan Saha, former CEO of Vikram Solar and chief technology officer (CTO) at ReNew Power, is the CEO of RInfra. Mr. Mushtaque Hussain, who has held key leadership roles in Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) and Tesla, is the CEO of battery manufacturing. Mr. Shubham Duttagupta, VP & Unit Head, Reliance Industries Limited, joins as CTO of solar manufacturing.
Infrastructure:
RInfra will establish a facility to increase the production of solar panels and components as part of its integrated solar manufacturing initiative. At the same time, its battery production facility will concentrate on creating cutting-edge energy storage solutions for electric vehicles and grid applications.
The Reliance Infrastructure Group will now provide end-to-end solutions from solar power generation to equipment manufacturing, encompassing the entire renewable energy value chain.
“This move complements the efforts of Reliance Power, which is focused on renewable energy generation, further strengthening the group’s overall presence in the sector,” the company said.
